IN my experience, the Jamaican Ambassador to the USA is called upon to give greatest attention to three areas of activity. The first concerns engendering positive relations with the USA. Jamaica and the USA have substantial areas of overlapping interest, including matters concerning security, development, education, human rights, and the promotion of the rule of law in international affairs.
