In a July 27, 2015 release, Opposition shadow minister of foreign affairs and foreign trade, Edmund Bartlett, said he was disappointed and concerned about the length of time it was taking the Foreign Affairs Ministry to issue a passport to the Jamaican who has been languishing in prison in Qatar, so that arrangements for his return to Jamaica could be finalised, following the pardon he received on July 7, 2015.
