Some newborns infected at UHWI, hospital says cause identified

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Minister of Health Dr Fenton Ferguson on Saturday held an emergency meeting with a team from the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI), the Ministry of Health and the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) to review the situation regarding an infection affecting some newborns at the UHWI.
