Applaud It! — A week-long initiative that provides a unique opportunity for the country’s powerful players of industry to meet the next generation exactly where they are and guide them through a formidable dining experience, exposing them to social and dining skills. Students from Charlie Smith High School, Tivoli Gardens High and Kingston Technical High School heard first-hand how Digicel Jamaica CEO went from working on a farm to helming a major corporate entity. There were testimonials, too, from other members of the Digicel executive team. The students might still be contemplating just how much money the execs earn, but certainly left inspired to focus on a sound education.
