The most recent assessment of the PAJ’s financials for the fiscal years 2010/2011 to 2014/2015, which are now before Parliament, showed that liabilities increased by 7.2 per cent, moving to $41.3 billion at the end of 2014/15 fiscal, from $38.5 billion in 2010/2011. Auditor General Pamela Monroe Ellis said, however, that while the PAJ accumulated significant debt in its operations this was not unexpected given the high costs of sustaining those operations.
