KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) spent US$21.8 million (approximately J$2.5 billion) between October, 2014 and June, 2015, on development projects in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT)/Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector to create 10,324 jobs. However, by the end of June this year, DBJ realised less than 2,000 of the projected jobs.
