The public yesterday reacted to the Government’s move to fulfil it’s promise of tax relief for Pay As You Earn workers. Finance Minister Audley Shaw, in opening the Budget Debate at Gordon House, announced that the promised $1.5-million tax relief would be applied across the board, with the income tax threshold moving initially to $1 million effective July 1, and to $1.5 million as of April 1 next year.
