KINGSTON, Jamaica – Finance Minister Audley Shaw on Thursday delivered on the government’s pre-election commitment to reduce personal income tax, in what was arguably the country’s most anticipated budget debate opening. Shaw announced a two-phase increase in the income tax threshold to 1.5 million, for all PAYE workers.
