Bad roads protests disrupt start of school year in St Thomas, Portland

The National Works Agency (NWA) has blamed inadequate funds for poor road conditions in St Thomas and sections of Portland, which yesterday sparked major protests in several communities, disrupting the start of the school year and resulting in students and teachers being left stranded after angry taxi operators withdrew their services.
