Thursday evening in the city, New Kingston’s treasure trove Bijoux Jewelers doubled as a soft-launch for the flagship’s Rolex installation, and its annual Christmas soirée. Among the incentives – because 70% discounts is simply inadequate – were Oriental hors d’oeuvres, including sushi, vegetarian samosas, boneless wings and chilli-spiced seafood, downed with Robert Mondavi vino. Where there are gems and baubles, there are women ready to be impressed, but this one was just as satisfying for the gents with a selection of the just-released Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, and Yacht-Master sets to gaze at.
