JPS employees have joined the call to stop violence against our women and children. With its #SaveOurWomenJA campaign, JPS is helping to raise awareness and provide tangible support for abused women, through a partnership with Woman Incorporated — the only organisation in Jamaica that offers help for women (and their children) who have been or are being abused. Woman Inc offers counselling, medical and legal assistance. JPS says it will provide support for Woman Inc, with the production of a documentary that aims to empower women with information: it will highlight the problem of abuse and the steps women can take to stop abuse. In addition, JPS will provide support for improving the facilities available to Woman Inc to serve these women. Here, JPS employees wear black yesterday to demonstrate solidarity with the call.
