Identity theft is growing, not at the alarming rate as it is internationally but it does impact Jamaica. It continues to be a serious threat as online transactions do not require any proof of identity and this creates a loophole for criminal activities. As a precautionary measure we need to educate ourselves on the implications of stolen identities.
