This taxi operator, who was allegedly pepper-sprayed by the police following a high-speed chase that lasted for about an hour yesterday, is helped by his aunt to wash away the chemical while being held by a policeman in Bullet Tree, just outside Old Harbour in St Catherine. The drama started about 12:30 pm when the taxi-man, who had more than the maximum number of passengers in his vehicle, sped off when the police asked him to stop. With schoolchildren among his passengers, the taxi-man is said to have raced along the streets of Old Harbour as the police, with flashing lights and siren, chased, then held him when he drove into a yard and exited the vehicle.
