Friends of the fraud twins are trying to console them as the court case heats up. They themselves are losing hope, based on the evidence. The mistake they made is that instead of being contrite, they have been appealing to the court of public opinion, hoping to influence the court of law. Time was when, if one was wrong, one would take the punishment quietly. Now it's all about blaming others and complaining that they should have been given a chance based on long service. Honesty is still the best policy, dear folks.
