Chastanet, one of St Lucia's leading businessmen, wrote that he was browsing through a booklet prepared by the Jamaican media highlighting 50 years of Jamaica's Independence (1962-2012). The publication focused on the men and women who have played their part. "So today, we are recognising two personalities who came in for recognition, hopefully, as the months roll on, we shall endeavour to recognise other Jamaican personalities as they relate to St Lucia."
