KINGSTON, Jamaica - The current shortage of local Irish potatoes which many placed at the feet of farmers has been challenged by Senator Norman Grant, president of the Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS). Grant declared that farmers are not the only ones to be blamed for the current shortage of Irish potatoes. He said the JAS also has a role to play in the distribution process.
