SIX men were arrested Wednesday during a police operation that uncovered a multimillion-dollar illegal sandmining site in St Catherine. “The men were held after police carried out an intelligence-led operation to a site located in Bernard Lodge two days ago,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Tanisha Ellison told the Jamaica Observer yesterday as the police returned to the site.
