Students of the Bull Savannah Primary School's Infant Department perform a cultural item at Wednesday's ceremony for the opening of the institution's information technology centre yesterday on the school grounds in St Elizabeth. Technology Minister Phillip Paulwell, who was guest speaker at the event, said that Government's contribution to the project, through the Universal Fund, is part of a mandate given to him by Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, to make computer technology accessible to all Jamaicans. The Universal Service Fund, an arm of the technology ministry, equipped the centre with 24 computers and related equipment at a cost of $4.5 million, while construction of the facility was undertaken through the collaborative efforts of past students of the institution and the businesses community.
