Vendor Barbara Faulkner shells sorrel leaves from the seed using an innovative tool created from an umbrella pole on the Dunbeholden Main Road in St Catherine last Friday. Faulkner said the device makes her job of separating the leaves from the seed easier. Sorrel, which is available all year round, is used to make a traditional Christmas drink in Jamaica.
