Fireworks light up the night sky of city of Kingston as thousands of Jamaicans welcomed 2014 on the waterfront. The event, which was put on by the Urban Development Corporation, with sponsorship from several companies, earlier had performances from several artistes, while there was a children's play area with a variety of rides, as well as vending stalls offering food, art and craft items. Hundreds of other Jamaicans attended celebrations across the island while thousands more welcomed the new year at church. (PHOTO: BRYAN CUMMINGS)
