Going fishing for the first time, real life experience

Me and my friend Leroy went fishing either of us knows anything about fishing. All we knew is that a bait is needed on hook, and the fishing line supposed to be in the water.

We were out in the middle of a lake that supposed to flourish with fish. Anyways, I have my line in the water with a worm attached to the hook as bait . Leroy had his in the water. Suddenly, I was frightened by Leroy screamed of excitement that I drop my fishing pole to help him. My fishing pole was fell the in lake, and . He shout me to come and help him. What ever it is down there got to be something huge. Two of us inside the little tiny boat holding on to the fishing pole.


Leroy determined to pull up what ever it is down there in the boat. I proceed to help him because I was curious about our first big catch. The fishing pole was ben to its maximum, and we was afraid it might not handle the load. While we were pulling up what ever it is up out of lake, I am sure it is no shark, whale , or alligator.

The fishing pole reaches its maximum while reeling in whatever in the lake non of us pays any attention to how far the water level at each side of boat on till it was too late.

The boat turn over as water rush in due to load of whatever we was trying to pull up. We swim 27 feet to the shore without life jacket. We stay laying down on the shore for 1hour because I never swim that far before.

The boat belongs to our neighbour, so we did of to explain what happened out in the lake. My neighbors laughed at what happened to us in the lake. It was funny , and dangerous

He had worm on his hook. I never get find out what was it his hook caught on.

LOL...I glad you both are ok. When is the next fishing trip...My first and second fishing adventures had drama too. My first one was in Jamaica. My Uncle did the fishing and caught a poisonous fish. If another man on the dock did not come over and look at all the fish he caught we would have been sick. On the second trip with a friend (on shore) none of us wanted to "knock" the fish in the head to kill it...lol

A few years ago I ended up in Lake Ontario when my canoe flipped . Like you, I was not wearing a life jacket either. Swimming takes on a whole new meaning when you are fully dressed and also wearing outerwear. Now I never remove my life jacket.

Glad all ended OK with you and nobody drowned.

One of mi favorite activities! Matter of fact mi gave up golf fi fishing. Less frustration. Even wen mi noh ketch noh fish, mi still come back relax. Wid, golfing sometimes yuh hit great, an odda times if pure frustration. Mi at least get suppen wen mi goh fish, an it cheaper tuh, wid golf is pure %&#@%#@& mi get!

when i retire i plan fi lef deh house at 10 an come back night fall spending the day fly fishing.....

I onlywent a couple times but it was beautiful...
