Oh thank you for reminding me. That's one other thing I had forgotten....to the list of:
- dogs keeping you awake at night
- boogoyagah music keeping you awake at night
- roosters waking in you in the morning
- struggles with locks, keys and gates
...definitely have to add the cold showers. The first morning when we were still sorting out the lock and key business, I I went next door and had a shower at my cousin's place. I had forgotten about the cold water biziniz.
Fortunately, I stayed with someone who had hot water...warm reallybut after they lock off the water and you are using the water from the tank on the roof...man it's cold. Yet another reason to get up early when you're in Jamaica.
Never took a bucket bath but my grandmother didn't have indoor plumbing until we were in our teens. I do remember these when I was little:
....but I don't remember the cold.
They must be worth a fortune now.Last edited by Tropicana; 08-23-2014, 12:10 AM.
