People searching Google Images Tuesday morning are noticing an apparent glitch in the system. Innocuous searches are resulting in repeated images of a car accident, alongside intermittent pictures of NBA star Kevin Durant.
Here’s what happened as of 9 a.m. when we Googled the word “puppy”:

(anybody interested can use google translate to get the gist of the website), but the basic details are these:

- In Moscow, back in 2012 she (Beletskaya) lost control of her Honda CRV, drove on the other side of the road before crashing into a lamp post next to a bus stop and taking down three pedestrians.

- The article implies driver error (her mixing up the brake and gas pedals due to panic) although she herself is quoted as saying "the brakes didn't work" which neither confirms nor denies that theory.

- She was also injured in the car crash due to a the impact with the lamp-post, had to be cut out with the "Jaws of life" by emergency services.

- She's been sentenced to four and a half years incarceration for man slaughter/reckless driving, and upon her release or parole she has a futher 3 year driving ban.

- No idea why exactly google images are cached with that particular picture, but I'd assume it's either the work of a disgruntled relative of one of the victims, or has something vague to do with the Europe/Eurasian conference taking place in Minsk today. Don't know for sure though, both are mere speculations.
