What was the worst advice you've ever received?

From RichD: "Yuh should tek up tennis."

"Don't bother buying that piece of waterfront property, it will never be worth much."

Like an idiot I took that advice! I could have sold it for more than ten times what I would have paid for it and be retired by now.
