Don't take selfies with stolen cell phone

VIRGINIA BEACH (13NewsNow.com) -- Police are searching for a man who took selfies on a stolen cell phone which were later uploaded to the victim's iCloud.
According to police, a woman laid her phone down at the check of a Halloween store on First Colonial Road on October 30. She realized it was missing after she walked out to her car. But when she returned to the store, the cell phone was gone.
About a month later, a few selfies were uploaded to the victim's iCloud.
Detectives are asking for assistance in identifying the man in the photos.

Co-worker's brother had the same thing happen to him. His phone was stolen and the thief's selfies ended up on icloud or some other 'all-in-one' resource thing (yeah, I don't know the proper tekkie terms... doan judge mi!!! )

Anyway, the victim sent messages from his laptop to his phone and the back and forth became quite hilarious.

It started off something like this:

Vic: Dude, WTF????!!!

Thief didn't respond.

Vic: I know you can see this ish! You thiefing MF! What the hell r u doing using my phone to take pics of your jacked up self???

Theif still didn't respond.

Vic: Look, I just want my phone back. I'll give you a location where you can just drop it off and it's done. Otherwise, I will forward your pic to the police and campus security.

(Oh yeah, he recognized the background of some of the pics that it was on the university grounds...)

Anyway, the thief took a few more pics, especially of his middle finger and then either dumped the phone or changed the sim card... cause the vic wasn't able to 'reach' the phone anymore.

Last I heard, the vic had uploaded all the thief's selfies to a few of the university's social media sites...
