Ah jus last night, mi did ah contemplate installing Win-10, but decided fi hold off likkle bit, since wi hav ah year fi duh it.

CB, whe yuh mean trying fi execute memory? Memory is storage, not a executable entity. Software/Firmware are executible.

J-kiddo, is how yuh mek image of yuh system? On an installable DVD ting?? (I used to be in IT when God was a boy.)

Dem hav several utilities whe can duh it, but most ah di pro use GHOST. It is tried and tested, light, reliable and bin around for years. Yuh can boot wid it from a CD, floppy, etc., den mek an image of yuh system. Mi usually only mek it ah di operating system partition. I have a separate partition/hard drive for data. If di OS goes south pan mi, mi noh care because dat is all dat deh pan dat partition. Mi jus drop mi ghosted image in an mi back up in minutes (less dan an hour), instead of days! Yuh can find it fi free or very low cost pan di net. The beauty is, you can still use an old version fi duh whe yuh want. Di one mi still use is old, and several versions back.
