Something that has been bothering me

I am a huge atheletics fan... And i have never forgiven Bolt for hugging up Jazz..... But i am happy he beat Gatlin...

Why do we have such a viseral dislike for Gatlin...? Safa, VCB and Gay were caught for drugs.... I know if Gay won I would not feel away about it and i am a Safa supporter.. Why does Gatlin inspire such dislike ????? He was caught he was punished....

There are a couple reasons based on my observations:

- The excuse he gave for the second drug violation was kinda "weak"
- He was not humble about the 2nd drug violation. The others you mentioned were not as talkative during and after violations.
- His 4 year ban was reduced to 8 years and many believe ge got off
- He brags and talks a lot
- Many suspect he is still doing drugs being that he is 33 years old and running better than many in their prime. The belief is that he has just found a better way to hide it.

We never got a explanation from Safa or VCB ? Just Silence .... Even Shelly Ann had an incident....

If I remember correctly they all made statements but through publicists etc. These tend to be more muted with the tone "let's wait and see" or "never purposely" or "was in other medication". Also each had only one incident...Gatlin had 2 incidents which I think played more in to why he is scrutinized...

I don't know about the others, but since Shelly's was not a performance enhancing drug she get a bligh from me and I think the length of her ban at 6 months show that it wasn't considered such a serious violation.

Not sure if others are aware.. But Kemar Bailey Cole is out of the games... This means we only have 4 sprinters for the 4X100..They tried ..unless they can get Forte or weir to run in one race. I suspect this is a concern......

Bolt is not in the best shape....I think expecting him to run another three races is too much....
