I only can say two words: Ball lightening!

Until you've been trapped in a room with ball lightening, you haven't lived (nor darn near died of fright, either)! It chases you if you don't stay still and hope for the best.


It's also true (although rather remote a possibility) that you can fry in your shower, if lightening hits your water source and you are standing under your showerhead turne on at the time of the strike. I won't shower in lightening storms.
Then again - I keep my feet up off of the floor when indoors during an electrical storm (sofa, bed, chaise louge); unnu would too, if you'd ever been chased by ball lightening.


<span style="text-decoration: underline">FWIW</span>: Mr Witchy has been struck personally by lightening three times already in 20 years.
Statistics show - although they don't know why this is - that you are five times (IIRC) more likely to get hit by lightening if you've ever been hit by it before.

Lightening &quot;rolled&quot; through our concrete house situated nearly 3,000 feet above Kingston. It hit a wooden closet door and set it afire. All contents of the closet were burned to a crisp and the interior of the closet (all concrete) are scorched to this day.

I don't know if it was ball lightening, but that lightening had balls
