don't ever get rid of them. for one thing there was the cover art and for the second thing, turntables never went out of style. you can still pick one up for $250 depending on where you are. the dj'ing business brought them back.
i also have a collection of lamps, which are practical: i have two favourites, one is the "eyeburner" in the kitchen which is a german industrial lamp; the other is a 50's fibreglass shade and bronze stem. i think i'll add some pictures later, but i'm so swamped with projects.
