I disagree wid som of her statements, and object to some of har characterizations.

Here are what she sees as stereotypes:

Stereotypes:

1. All Jamaicans smoke weed.
2. All Jamaicans are black.
3. Jamaicans don't speak English.
4. Not all dreadlocks are Jamaican
5. All Jamaicans abroad come from Kingston.
6. Jamaican men are cheaters, i.e., gyalists.
7. Jamaicans do not eat pork.
8. Jamaicans parties are slack.
9. Jamaicans only listen to reggae and dancehall.
10. All Jamaicans can run fast.

She went on and on about #6 as if she needed to convince herself this wasn't true

Aye Sah - ah who she be? (I have not listened to the video yet) I had a man from Haiti tell me last week that I don't understand English dat and geography a de only subjects be get in A levels. She miss de mark by a whole heap. One should not generalize but a one thing moas Jamaicans that I know are guilty of (including myself) is dem always think dem right and will argue the pint to death to prove eh.

One time I recall some one complain that their host had put green peas in a potato salad or cold slaw... and this was proof positive that the host was not Jamaicans...
