This I used to hear about but I have never seen one. Growing up my Mom used to say mi was vaccinated with a _____ needle.

This was my earliest memory of music in the house. An old Grundig.

Mi know what this is ... gramophone but I have no recollection of ever seeing a gramophone in ole time Jamaican home.

The record changer, like the old Grundig is my earliest memory of a record changer in Jamaican family houses... never a gramophone.

No. I don't but my father gave me a Grundig for passing my Common Entrance. I still have it but it doesn't work. The replacement of the vacuum tubes was too expensive for a schoolboy and it didn't have FM.

I think so. My uncle had one but it disappeared very early in my childhood.
