When my siblings I spend summers with our granny in the Country. I remember my older sister told us that if we slept with your mouths open that croaking lizzards would get in and would then be stuck in your throats like Ms. Nicey. (Come to find out that Ms. Nicey had "goiter" - a thyroid (sp) condition and that is why her throat was swollen. As a child I had no idea I believed my sister. I always thought it was the croacking lizzard moving up and down Ms. Nicey throat when she spoke. We always ran when we saw her coming.

Mi nuh like croaking lizards. I remember growing up they used to say if they land on you they will stick and leave a "lizard" mark on your skin. To this day I am still scared of them.
