We lived on Brentford Road in Kingston and there was a little school down the road called Peterkin Prep run by Mrs. Peterkin who everybody call Ma Petie. I was going on 4 and was just wild hanging out with the mechanics at the back of our yard where Daddy had his repair shop. Mommy was too busy to monitor my whereabouts and everybody did tek care of us anyway. Miss Facey next door tell mi madda seh is time Peasie goh school now. Next ting mi know mi hair get comb uniform buy an Miss Facey tek mi by the han every morning to school. Apparently it was quite a commotion as dis determined old lady a drag on loud bawling pickney who a hole on to every fence all do way down to Ma Petie school. Mommy love tell dis liad story yuhsi

wow, i dont remember not even my first day of post secondary. I dont recall the first day of any school.... that is quite strange guess that means it was pretty uneventful.

Can't remember it. Too long ago. I did pass by the primary school last year when I was in JA, and it was hardly recognizable. I didn't recall the fortress look when I was going there many years ago. The shop I used to buy lunch from didn't appear to exist anymore.

My fuss day was tumultuous. Mi madda cyaar mi guh school and when de handoff was to be made mi bawl, mi bawl mi bawl suh till.
I remember it like yessideh, at de door mi madda push mi from bahine, teachah a heng on pan mi hand an a pull me een. Big ol loud cow bawling, de hawl an pull between mi madda an teacha went on fi bout 10 min till dem finally hawl mi eenside.
At recess mi jus walk home. ( I don't remember that part a suh mi fadda tell me) but i do membah de pawt wid mi an him a lye dung pan de couch tuhgedda a watch tv

Him was shock dat mi know mi way home.
