pretty funny stuff, wallie. though a part of me says that if a wain canada instead of scotland, you would not have been so forgiving of these foibles even though the bedrock of canadian culture, i'm told, is scottish.

more than glacial remnants, my friend. we canadians got a province called nova scotia, fer chrissakes. in ontario you cant stop tripping over things named brock. every major occasion is commenced with bagpipes, and that used to include my high school's end of year assembly, where principal gordon used to don his kilt and do a highland fling on stage.

we do have some disdain for the u.s., but we are ultimately canadian, so the disdain is tinged with a bit of an inferiority complex, lol.
