What I find a little strange is that 25 years ago there was alot of projection of what the future was in terms of networks and telephony. ... Today there is little projections about the next 25 years

to me the next 25 years will be:

• a renaissance in Africa
• revolution in education delivery at tertiary level and secondary level.. i think there will be an emergence of insitutions of technical excelence in the order of Indian Technical universities, leaving behind the useless degrees
• the development of drugs based on cannabis biochemistry....I am being serious as there are a number being developed.. this and otehr traditional medicines from moss to spider webs will be re evaluated... there is alot of initial studies in place
• either the end of GM foods due to a disaster or acceptance its due to a disaster ie the end of polinating insects...
• more effecent engines based on the light non metalic material... and a revolutionary power storage system
• Development of aluminium based organo metalic catalysts
• growth of body parts based on stemcells
• the rise of a Astermim resistant maleria...
• a cure for viral based disease...
• the next choke point will be a border dispute between Sudan and Egypt
• fall of the Saudi princes for something very nasty..
• a fighting war in Asia over se aborders , not the Spratley islands but some where else...(involving china indonesia india or philipnes)
• Jamaica will be a failed state....
• end of television as we know it
