Some small communities and their schools now have groups on sites like Facebook. Especially when researching branches of your family with which you have lost content you will be amazed at how many 2nd and 3rd cousins are on there. The last names just pop out at you.
It's unbelievable. They can put you in touch with older relatives who can tell you a lot more. All this would not have been possible even 5 - 10 years ago.
I shared this free site before but I will share it again.
The Mormons are constantly adding documents for Jamaica. You'll find birth certificates with the names of your great grandparents and even great grand parents and identify all the children they had.
Families had NUFF children back in the day.

I guess I should have posted everything together. I will look for it later.
all you have to do is follow the birth certificates and you will find cousins exactly where the birth certificates say your great grand parents and great great grandparents were born. Sometimes though, families moved around a lot in those days ....which is surprising since there were no cars.....so the family may have originated from a different community. By that I mean sometimes the family moved and lived somewhere else or after marriage would relocate to where their spouse was from.
