i have not watched it ...but does it deal with all sports or just the big 2 ?Originally posted by kia027 View PostThis documentary gives a pretty clear picture of the life of the student athelete, the NCAA and how it affects students
This provocative documentary scrutinizes the business of college athletics, a billion-dollar industry whose athletes don't earn a dime.

the issue i have witht hese things is that can spin the story whichever way they want.Originally posted by kia027 View Postncaa has some rules about that so coach will have to sneak in the food.. watch the documentary I posted
i dotn see how paying athletes will actually address any of the issue unless its all about sharing the pie?
will a star get paid more that the guy who dresses and has never seen a minute on the field? willthe star be eating steak odn that gyuy be the one who is talking about being hungry?
schools like Penn State have been know to dress 100 players of a game. When its hot in the jungle of peace I go swimming in the ocean of love.....

ok, that summary didn't really give me any enough detail.
But you raise an interesting point about the demands placed upon the athletes (40 hour training weeks). Also (as mentioned in the summary by the learning specialist), some of them don't have the necessary skills to do well in university, having been passed along from elem to MS to HS...so even if they did have the time to study, they would still be struggling academically.Last edited by CeaBee; 04-09-2014, 10:07 AM.

the 40 hours train is a bit of an overstatement t ..NCAA have rules around how much time athlete can spend on training. they limit it to 4 hours per day (and that includes team meetings ) and max 20 hours per weekOriginally posted by CeaBee View Postok, that summary didn't really give me any enough detail.
