Accent is Back

Interesting. One of my cousins migrated to the USA when she was in her late 20s. Whenever I speak with her, she doesn't have a trace of a Jamaican accent which I thought was odd.

Well she called from Jamaica (where she is visiting) and left a voice message for my Mom.....and she has a Jamaican accent.

So was all that twanging for MY benefit?

It neva raeally leave yuh. If smaddi mek yuh haffi get real raw pan dem, all of ah sudden it can pop out unexpected.
