I didn't want to mash up your thread so I am continuing here.
The first person I ever heard using the expression pimpish demeanour was Hugh Hefner in a documentary about Dorothy Stratton who was murdered by her husband.
Dorothy Stratton was very pretty and a straight A high school student working in an ice cream parlour in Vancouver.

She met Paul Snider and started dating him. He was sleazy. He used to hold wet tee-shirt and set jock strap contests at clubs in Vancouver

Paul persuaded Dorothy to pose topless and sent the photos to Hugh Hefner. She was still in high school and underage. Paul forged her mothers signature on the document on which Hugh Hefner booked her. She appeared in Playboy and was selected as Playmate of the year in 1980.
She tells her story here on this interview on The Tonight Show on April 16th 1980 a few months before her murder.
Hefner warned her about the guy but Dorothy didn't listen and she married him anyway. Eventually she started to do movies.
The marriage didn't work out.
She started dating movie director Peter Bagdonovich who warned her not to see the husband alone. She didn't listen and went to his house to try and finalized the divorce details. He murdered her and killed himself.
The crime scene can be found by Googling "paco camino: The Grisly Murder of Dorothy Stratton". It is very gruesome...you have been forewarned.
Hugh Hefner used the term "pimpish demeanour" to describe the boyfriend, Paul Snider, and to caution Dorothy about him. He was WHITE she was white. So how is this stereotyping Black people?
