Hours after publicly condemning her own husband as a 'small-minded' and 'despicable' racist, a stern-looking Rochelle Sterling was photographed taking him out for a steak dinner on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
Despite appearing at the game on Sunday night dressed all in black in an apparent show of solidarity with the LA Clippers players, Rochelle went for dinner at Flemings Steak House in El Segundo afterwards with her husband of 57-years.
Pictured for the first time since hate-filled comments he allegedly made about African Americans emerged on Friday night, Sterling, who did not attend last nights game appeared relaxed as he was photographed, while his wife attempted to shield her face with her handbag.
Having not attended Sunday night's game, Sterling missed the powerful protest made by his players in which they wore their jerseys inside out for the warm up to hide the team's logo.
This was in protest over Sterling's comments in which he told his 31-year-old girlfriend V. Stiviano not to bring black friends to games.
The NBA is currently considering what action to take against Sterling after players including LeBron James and Michael Jordan said there was no place for him in the league.
Rochelle, who is also suing Miss Stiviano for embezzling $1.8million, told TMZ: 'Our family is devastated by the racist comments made by my estranged husband. My children and I do not share these despicable views or prejudices.'
'We will not let one man's small mindedness poison the spirit of the fans and accomplishments of the team in the city we love,' Mrs Sterling added. 'We are doing everything in our power to stand by and support out clippers team.'
She elaborated to ESPN, saying she does not condone her husband's statements, or believe in them.
'I'm not a racist. Never have been, never will be,' Mrs Sterling said.
Sterling caused outrage on Saturday after audio recordings of him were released in which he appears to tell his girlfriend Vanessa Stiviano not to bring black people to Clippers games or post pictures of herself with black men on Instagram.
The Sterlings are still married despite separating several years ago and seeing other people. However, a legal split may be imminent as TMZ reports Mrs Sterling has obtained divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.
In response to Sterling's purported comments urging his girlfriend not to bring black people to his team's games, the Clippers on Sunday let their uniforms become a show of solidarity.
They ran out of the tunnel for Game 4 of their first-round playoff at Golden State wearing their warmups. Then they huddled at center court and tossed their warmups to the ground, going through their pregame routine with their red Clippers shirts inside out to hide the team's logo.
Players also wore black wristbands or armbands. They all wore black socks with their normal jerseys.
'It's just us, only us. We're all we got,' Clippers star guard Chris Paul could be heard shouting to teammates before they ran out.
The Clippers lost to Golden State 118-97.
