Set up vs Ni Night

Well I went to my first set up. It was wonderful. The whole town came out. It was all Christian music with a variety of Jamaican business and the singer told the people to keep in clean. She said she was seeing "hip gyrations" and asked people to stop.

I think I will have one for myself so that I can be there before I kick the bucket. :rofl;

I assume there is a difference between ni' night and a set-up as it was nothing like this.

The housekeeper's young grandson said it is also called "dead yard". Are there bands that specialize in that. I have never heard such a variety of hymns to so many different Jamaican riddims. It was more like this.

I got right into it. The housekeeper's daughter asked if I would help serve the food. I served all the chicken. This little girl came a few times. I said to her "Can you please go to that truck and ask _______ if he has had anything to eat yet?" She said "Oh you mean my Dad?" I laughed...."Oh, you're my cousin.... " Yes. It was great to have so many members off the family together in one place and to meet so many members of the younger generation.
