Washington Post's Reliable Sources column reports on more Palin clothing expenditures, this time for Todd:

On top of the $150,000 first outlined in Federal Election Commission filings, Palin spent &quot;tens of thousands of dollars&quot; on additional clothing, makeup and jewelry for herself and her family, including $40,000 in luxury goods for her husband, Todd, our colleague Michael Shear reports. The campaign was charged for <span style="font-family: 'Arial'">silk boxer shorts</span>, spray tanners and <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">13 suitcases </span><span style="font-style: italic">(Dulcimina Grip)</span> to carry all the designer clothes, according to two GOP insiders.

The RNC spent at least $150,000 on designer clothing, accessories and beauty services for Palin after she became John McCain's running mate in September. The spending included $75,062 at Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis; $49,425 at Saks Fifth Avenue; $9,447 at Macy's; and $789 at the luxury retailer Barneys New York. Some of the purchases were for Palin family members, such as $4,902 spent at upscale men's clothier Atelier <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">and $92 at Pacifier, a Minneapolis baby boutique.</span>

The McCain-Palin campaign said about a third of the clothing was returned immediately because it was the wrong size, or for other reasons. However, other purchases were apparently made after that, the campaign official said.

The spending drew a complaint against Palin and the RNC by a Washington government watchdog group. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission accusing Palin and the GOP of violating a federal ban on the use of campaign funds for personal expenses such as clothing.

Sarah Palin spent part of the weekend going through her clothing to determine what belongs to the Republican Party after it spent $150,000-plus on a wardrobe for the vice presidential nominee, according to Palin's father.

Palin and John McCain's campaign faced a storm of criticism over the tens of thousands of dollars spent at such high-end stores as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus to dress the nominee. Republican National Committee lawyers are still trying to determine exactly what clothing was bought for Palin, what was returned and what has become of the rest.

<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Palin's father, Chuck Heath, said his daughter spent the day Saturday trying to figure out what belongs to the RNC.

&quot;She was just frantically ... trying to sort stuff out,&quot; Heath said. &quot;That's the problem, you know, the kids lose underwear, and everything has to be accounted for.</span>
