Immigration policies are separate form policing issues. the state can if they wanted protect and patrol the border.

the issue is noting is free and as much as they want to talk about it they don't want to pay for it. plus in most of these border states the issue remaining unresolved is very valuable politically when a democrat is in the whitehouse.

Yeah, I get that much, but wasn't your original question why doesn't the gov. of individual states deploy the national guard to secure border? And why should states be burdened by an issue that is the federal government's responsibility. The Feds are responsible for securing the borders. And when Arizona handled it in thier own way the Feds (Obama) intervened. So, why don't the Feds help?


And, politics is politics. Both parties trade punches on a regular basis over issues. That's the game, and both play it. But, come on, really, does either party want to secure the borders?

Rich, I didn't. I mis-read an article on the the recent illegal children migration. I was wrong. I had a senior moment, thanks for correcting me. The truth is the only thing that counts. And the truth is the illegal population is about the same since he took office, it stands at about 11 million. It did not double as I incorrectly stated.
