I can't agree or disagree re. the looney left. I do know some bright people who graduated from UWI and I also enjoy reading UWI research published on the web. Rightly or wrongly, I also feel a measure of pride in the university as imperfect as it may be.
Anyway, I'm interested to hear more about the state of higher education in JA.
