Well if I stick by my original premise that Obama had a right to claim himself to he what he wanted to be called/considered, then as much as it grieves me, I'd have to say they have the same right.

This subject is infinite. but most importantly, it comes down to how you see yourself, more than how others see you. It can be argued that "black" is as much about social and cultural orientation, as it is about colour.
MMF & uswe, while I agree with you in principle, if I met an American woman looking like this who called herself white, I would laugh her to scorn.
