Sex horror detailed
Attacker forced victim to describe assault over the phone
By NADIA MOHARIB, SUN MEDIA
The woman kidnapped and sexually assaulted from a northeast business says she's lucky to be alive as sickening new details about the random attack emerged.
In an interview with the Sun yesterday, the young woman urged others to "watch your back," as police revealed she was forced to talk to the attacker's girlfriend on a cellphone and describe what he was doing to her.
And as police search for her assailant, the victim is trying to process what happened.
"I'm definitely better," she said. "I'm just realizing I'm alive -- most people don't come out alive."
The woman was confronted by a man with a gun who entered through the rear door of her northeast workplace Monday afternoon.
The culprit then carjacked an elderly man at California Blvd., near 68 St. N.E., and forced her into his truck.
The two victims were driven around for four hours with the woman being repeatedly sexually assaulted.
By 7:30 p.m., the man simply walked away from the truck, leaving the two victims behind before running away and possibly catching a taxi.
Police said the offender, who might go by the name Mike or Angel, phoned a woman, possibly his common-law wife, during the attack and forced the victim to speak to her, describing the ordeal.
They are now urging the woman he called Deanna to come forward.
The female victim, meanwhile, was to meet police to help create a sketch of the suspect who she described as Spanish-looking or half-black, about 6-feet to 6-foot-5 with a bit of a beer belly.
She said he has a scar at the front of his scalp and told her he was 41, with a son.
Sex crimes Staff Sgt. Curtis Olson said police have been getting several tips.
"It's a priority for us," he said.
Olson said the 68-year-old man who had his truck carjacked and was then forced to be a helpless witness is also a victim in the case.
"It's certainly traumatic to be a victim of a car-jacking and then to be privy to a number of hours of what went on in the vehicle," he said.
