Ersula Ore was detained in May after cops spotted her wandering down the middle of a Tempe street to avoid construction works.
She tried to explain the reason why she was in the center of the road. But, before she could finish, she was asked for her ID.
The video, obtained by 3TV, shows the English professor protesting about the "disrespectful" way she was being spoken to — and refusing to show her card.
"Let me see your ID or you will be arrested for failing to provide ID," the officer, identified as Stewart Ferrin, is heard saying in the clip.
Replying that she had "no problem abiding by the law," she then says: "But all I'm asking, do you have to speak to me in such a disrespectful manner?"
