GM is bleeding millions a day here in the US but,

they are #1 in China, #4 in Russia, ahn dont dem mek Chevy car & trucks? How daht is #1 vehicle ova seas?

how dem need bailout?

I would guess cost to build is what hurts them most ..

They build Hummer - Youkon - Suburban .. these are big gas guzzlers ...

Most people are buying more gas efficient cars ..
maybe Chevys ..

They are not selling in the US markets ..
overseas sales wont cover their costs/losses ..

plus pension .. health care for workers

Yes, Sinco has it right!
The problem with GM is management who remained complacient. Even Honda and Toyota are hurting but GM was asleep at the wheel when it came to inovation and now they are looking for help.

I don't t hink the have any bailout money yet ..

In the US they were building &amp; selling those big gas guzzlers ..
that was where there profits came from ..
they made more profit from 1 gas guzzler than .. maybe 3 cars

so their incentive was to build &amp; sell more ..
others were building smaller more efficient cars a smaller profits .. (Toyota Honda Nissan)

so when things turned (gas prices - economy - depression) so did their profits ..

people stopped buying ...
they kept building ..
paying workers, suppliers, staff, advertisers .. ect ..

money going out ..
not much coming in ..

IMHO ....a bailout will just delay the eventual collapse. When it comes, people are going to realize the new sad reality we live in.

The domestic market has always been GM's bread and butter. A collapse of that market cripples that company despite the profit made overseas.

GM does not put out bad products. The company is weighed down by health care and pension costs for its workers. Overseas, health care is handled by government subsidies so those companies don't have to deal this expense.

I would beg fi differ that.
What they were slow on is bring those veekles out that they've had at the autoshows before anyone else. That is the only thing I blame GM for. They are miles ahead in technolgy and design, the bring it the autoshows and then tek years fi bring it tuh mawkit.

Everyone love jump pan de big 3 back cah dem neh ha de foresite an ting an talk bout all dem did concentrate pan was de big SUV dem. But how come nuhbaddy eva ahx de ppl who a buy dem like crazy. If nobody was buying them at the rate they were they wouldn't have been building them.

Even Toyota has built a plant in Texas for the sole purpose of full sized trucks choo seh dem wanted a piece a de action tuh.

Malibu is the number one car in america but mericans now cyaan get money fi buy dem ar even buy de toyota dem, all toyota a offa 0% financing.

Dis is not a GM ting, Ford or Chrysler ting. Is a liyad teefinn bank ting, is a liyad teefin ile company ting, is a liyah teefin bush regime ting. De big 3 have made drastic measures over the past 8 years. The mount of ppl cut, blue an yt collar, the mount of downsizing, plants closed, long before any crisis, the many things given up by unionized workers etc etc etc.

ILP basically US market is their biggest market and is the only market that is failing at this time. Even ya suh in Canada sales have gone up.

That would be the biggest bogus lie dat dem want de public to believe. The workers are the lowest of all the companies costs. Even less then the cost to power a facility.
