Dem do some layoffs at my job today....Not cool.

Blessed to still have a position

Nevertheless..them hand out some good severance though .

Any body want Cisco Engineer\IT Security job in the DC year. I know of several opening. Require good credit and clean back ground check.

Yesterday execs come a ask me whey him deh. Mi seh him come in at 3.
At 3 him come in, at 3:01 dem come fi him, and 3:30 him a pack him stuff.
At 10PM mi did still a wuk a try clean up an assign out him cases...
Mi called him fi offer any help him need (since mi a di team lead and thought it was the respectable thing fiduh)
All him a sing pon is how him sending in the company laptop.
All mi a tell him "screw the laptop.. how you?"
Him sounded well shaken up. hi say inna shaky voice its all about numbers, the higher u number, the more likely u gonna get cut. (He was solid 6 figures)..poor dude.
Mi had to send home some a di newer man dem early as dem couldnt focus. an all whey nuh smoke, start smoke.

di funny thing now is the LAZY BUG de a start wuk.
Yuh waan see dem a come outta di woodwork. Usually silent, and always &quot;busy&quot;.. now dem a follow mi lead whey mi took a loooooong tie ago.
See mi know mi was the black face in the crowd, suh mi know mi couldnt fallow and get the same perks.. plus mi wasnt a follower from jump anyhow.

Example.. mi inna east coast.. man dem pon west coast (Cali).. Mi and him suppose to cover a certain time.. Now Cali 3 hrs behind, suh usually a senior person from there cover late and east coase cover early, suh nuh baddy naah guh home nuh later than say 7P their time.
From jump a mi a duh di late. soso 9-10PM mi a leff cuse dem silent ova deh.
Suh everynight mi a leff mi send an email to all couple thousand people pon di daily status. By right a di cali man fi cover.. Hi ALWAYS silent.. suh mi hafi stay late and finish up.
Last night (Coincidentally after the FISRT LAYOFF).. wi get an email for the FIRSTIME EVER from him wid the status.
Mi send an email tuh him saying &quot;Thanks!&quot;
Then mi seh .. if this gonna be a regular occurance, lets do a schedule suh wi dont duplicate efforts.. and copy him boss.
Lets see how long him will be doing this.
As i a type this yet another an from Cali .. notorious to be lazy, JUST sent an email mimicing somthing I always do..

Layoffs meck lazy people work. Maybe (if mi nuh get cut) mi may finally can guh in a do only a days work.
