Venus, Jupiter and the Moon

Here in the American Northeast, the planets Venus and Jupiter can be plainly seen with the naked eye right now....look in the lower southwest sky, where you see the crescent Moon; just to the right of it are two large silvery "stars'...those are the planets...

it's pretty cool!

I saw that about a month ago, but it was only Venus. I was at the very northern edge of Central Park facing the south but looking toward the southwest and I figured I was looking at Venus at about a 45 degree angle in the southwestern sky. If I recall, it is the &quot;evening star&quot; which can be seen in the early evening and night hours then it disappears by around 9-10 p.m and then reappears at the same point in the sky around dawn when it is referred to as the &quot;morning star.&quot;

I just went outside and saw them on this clear, beautiful night. Not a cloud to obscure the view.

yes very clear over here in NJ.

My daughter came home from school and told us. We enjoyed watching it while we were driving.

Been watchin em for a while here in Taos, NM. - We're at 7500' and they are so bright it's eerie...

Here in Chicago I do not get see them often ..
my glimpses are brief ..
not like back in JA when i would spend most of an evening looking at them ..
